United Nations Bibliographic Information System Thesaurus

The UNBIS Thesaurus is a multilingual database of the controlled vocabulary used to describe UN documents and other materials in the Library's collection. The Thesaurus is continuously updated. The UNBIS Thesaurus has been developed primarily for the subject analysis of UN documents and publications and reflects the terminology found in them. This does not imply the expression of any opinion whatsoever on the part of the United Nations concerning the status of any country, city or area, or of its authorities, or concerning the delimitation of its frontier or boundaries.
